Nexo Técnico, a leader in specialized structural engineering and construction solutions in Puerto Rico, is in the process of operational transformation and is looking for a Superintendent to be our technical leader in the field.

We are NOT looking for a traditional "supervisor." We are looking for a senior engineer with deep expertise who wants to:
  • Building an operating system from scratch
  • Working with cutting-edge technologies (micropiles, FRP, slope stabilization, structural reinforcement)
  • Develop technical talent and raise team capabilities
  • Have autonomy and real decision-making authority
  • Leading without micromanagement

THE CHALLENGE: You'll be the CEO's "technical alter ego" in the field, ensuring excellence in executing complex projects while building technical depth into the organization. You will work in triad with Project Management and Engineering Coordination to scale Nexo's operations.

Your first 90 days:
  • Direct technical supervision of highly complex projects
  • Pre-execution preparation and planning with field teams
  • Quality Assurance (QA/QC) according to ASTM, AASHTO standards
  • Mentoring and development of Team Leaders and Project Coordinators
  • Solving complex technical issues without constant scaling
PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Non-negotiable requirements:
  • Civil or Structural Engineer with active PE license in Puerto Rico
  • Minimum 5 years of structural/civil engineering experience with strong field component
  • Minimum 5 years in supervision/superintendence roles in specialized construction
  • DIRECT experience in at least 3 of these areas:
    - Concrete repair and rehabilitation
    - Deep foundations (piles, micropiles, underpinning)
    - Slope stabilization and applied geotechnics
    - Structural reinforcement (FRP, post-tensioning, shotcrete)
    - Bridge or critical infrastructure projects

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Base salary: $45,000 - $80,000 annually (depending on experience)
  • Performance Bonus: Annual bonus based on performance and meeting objectives.
