Job Description:
We are looking for a Runner and Shopping Assistant with experience in purchasing management and courier to join our team in Puerto Rico. This position is crucial to supporting the company's operations through sourcing and delivering materials, running errands, and maintaining vehicles. In addition, the candidate is expected to be willing to assist in miscellaneous construction and debris dump tasks when needed. The ideal they must be responsible, diligent, transparent and agile, and they must know and use security equipment properly.

Responsibilities:
  • Request quotes and make purchases of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Carry out the search and delivery of materials or procedures related to the company.
  • Keeping company vehicles clean and in good repair, performing basic maintenance and washing as needed.
  • Assist in miscellaneous construction tasks and dump debris as needed.
  • Know and properly use safety equipment.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license. Desirable (non-essential) heavy category.
  • Handling of carts or towing (not essential).
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in purchasing and courier management.
  • 10-hour OSHA safety training is desirable (not essential).
  • Self-motivated, responsible, punctual and committed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and use ladders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Availability to constantly interact with suppliers, employees and subcontractors.

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Transportation

Our compensation policies for travel time and mileage will apply according to the role.

In summary:

  • If assigned to reach a project or location one hour or more away from your place of residence, a stipend applies for each day worked at that location.
  • Trips during working hours in your vehicle to attend company matters can be submitted for mileage reimbursement.
  • In case you are assigned to work at a location more than 40 miles from your town of residence, additional compensation will apply to travel time.
  • A weekly transportation stipend may apply instead of the above at the Company's discretion.

There may be productivity bonuses, or incentives to be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

 

Salary Advances

  • Once you have been working for 2 weeks, you can request salary advances. 
  • The advance will be deducted in reasonable and agreed-upon installments.
