Job Summary:

We are a specialized construction company with more than 15 years in the market and we are looking for a Brigade Leader or Supervisor with high responsibility and commitment to join our team.

This role is fundamental for the coordination and supervision of our projects, ensuring efficiency in the use of resources and the fulfillment of the company's objectives. We value both those with leadership skills and those with supervisory experience, providing flexibility in the role depending on the candidate's experience and competencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the company's primary representative on projects when the Engineer, Manager, or President is not present.
  • Implement and promote safety measures, ensuring that projects are carried out in an organized and clean manner, complying with all safety requirements.
  • Ensure that the work under his/her responsibility is completed with the expected quality, respecting the required measurements, alignments, plumb lines and squares.
  • Lead and direct workers and subcontractors on assigned projects, ensuring high levels of productivity and coordination.
  • Manage and coordinate the necessary materials, personnel and equipment on a daily basis, minimizing time losses and planning with the Operations Manager.
  • Request and participate in training on unknown materials, techniques, and activities.
  • Assist the Manager in the preparation of itineraries, purchases, and estimates related to the projects.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing manager to ensure the availability and timeliness of necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Require and validate inventories of materials, tools, and equipment, implementing measures to prevent loss or damage.
  • Ensure the generation of daily reports of work and project work, approving and coding them correctly.
  • Maintain constant and diligent communication with your supervisor, avoiding running out of means of communication.
  • Effectively delegate tasks to the right people, while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Perform or manage any other directive or instruction assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Be proactive, responsible, committed, upright and ethical.
  • Have knowledge in construction work, measurements, mathematics and reading blueprints.
  • Ability to work with precision, certainty, and agility under pressure.
  • Effective use of smartphones and mobile apps.
  • Availability and willingness to work as long as necessary to meet the client's objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective project coordination.

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Transportation

Our compensation policies for travel time and mileage will apply according to the role.

In summary:

  • If assigned to reach a project or location one hour or more away from your place of residence, a stipend applies for each day worked at that location.
  • Trips during working hours in your vehicle to attend company matters can be submitted for mileage reimbursement.
  • In case you are assigned to work at a location more than 40 miles from your town of residence, additional compensation will apply to travel time.
  • A weekly transportation stipend may apply instead of the above at the Company's discretion.

There may be productivity bonuses, or incentives to be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

  • Once you have been working for 2 weeks, you can request salary advances. 
  • The advance will be deducted in reasonable and agreed-upon installments.
